GRAPE VARIETIES: Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês and Trincadeira
VINIFICATION: Fermented in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature (28°C). Maceration of the skins for 22 days after fermentation. Minimum aging of 12 months in Allier French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Ruby red color, the nose shows good freshness, complex wood and spices. On the palate it is fresh, with good acidity, very present fruit, intense and with a long finish.

Monte da Penha wines are developed by Francisco Baptista Fino in partnership with the award-winning oenologist Susana Esteban, who was distinguished with the title of Oenologist of the Year by Revista de Vinhos in 2012.

Do you deliver nationwide?
Currently, deliveries are only made to mainland Portugal. We do not yet ship to the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores.

Where is the estate located?
Herdade Monte da Penha is located in Portalegre, in the Alentejo wine region, at an altitude of between 400 and 600 metres, benefiting from a unique terroir with granite and clay-limestone soils.
