“Verónica” is a tribute to the woman, mother and friend, and to all the legacy she left behind.
Present since the very first roots of Monte da Penha, side by side with her husband Francisco Fino, Verónica Beja Fino was always the sweet, joyful and positive side in business and in the family, with her generosity, elegance and capacity for dedication. An artist and dreamer, she was much more than the founder of a project and a family. She was a mother in everything she gave, an artist in everything she painted, and love in everything she touched and devoted herself to. Just like Verónica, this wine is a joyful, fruity and elegant companion.
The result of two vintages, 2021 and 2022, from two hectares of old vines at Monte da Penha, with the Arinto, Fernão Pires, Roupeiro and Trincadeira das Pratas grape varieties. This special batch of 4018 bottles was produced by our winemaker, Susana Esteban and Francisco Fino.
The watercolour “Flor da Paixão” (Passion Flower) was painted by Verónica Beja Fino in October 1993, and is now the face of this tribute for representing the delicacy, refinement and passion that you will find in this wine, just as we found in the person who inspired us to produce it.

Monte da Penha wines are developed by Francisco Baptista Fino in partnership with the award-winning oenologist Susana Esteban, who was distinguished with the title of Oenologist of the Year by Revista de Vinhos in 2012.

Monte da Penha is a family project of Francisco B. Fino Sociedade Agrícola Lda, dedicated to producing excellent wines in the Portalegre region. The passion for wine spans generations, maintaining a commitment to quality and authenticity.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Currently, deliveries are only made to mainland Portugal. We do not yet ship to the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores.
Shipping has a fixed cost of €5.00 per order, regardless of weight or volume.
Where is the estate located?
Herdade Monte da Penha is located in Portalegre, in the Alentejo wine region, at an altitude of between 400 and 600 metres, benefiting from a unique terroir with granite and clay-limestone soils.
