Ruby-red colour, with good freshness, complex wood notes and spices on the nose. On the palate, it is fresh, with good acidity, prominent fruit, intense, and with a long finish.
Grape Varieties: Alicante Bouschet, Moreto, Aragonês and Trincadeira
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature control
Ageing: 1 year in Allier French oak barrels, followed by a minimum of 12 months ageing in bottle.

Monte da Penha wines are developed by Francisco Baptista Fino in partnership with the award-winning oenologist Susana Esteban, who was distinguished with the title of Oenologist of the Year by Revista de Vinhos in 2012.

Do you deliver nationwide?
Currently, deliveries are only made to mainland Portugal. We do not yet ship to the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores.

Where is the estate located?
Herdade Monte da Penha is located in Portalegre, in the Alentejo wine region, at an altitude of between 400 and 600 metres, benefiting from a unique terroir with granite and clay-limestone soils.
